Walt Whitman also had a big influence on another homosexual New York poet with a beard named Allen Ginsberg. This guy wrote a short poem called Howl.

The beginning of Howl

"I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness starving hysterical naked,

Dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix,

Angel headed hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection to the starry dynamo in the machinery of night"

I recommend this to one and all. Make up your mind. Experience something for the first time. Quit listening to those 60's bands. Live in the moment. The hippies, who burned their bras and fed their minds, are now our parents, who scoff at public breast feeding and banned medical marijuana.

So what if they tuned in, turned on or whatever. They became the moral majority. Sure they are fucks for being hypocrites, but at least they had youthful rebellion.

Now we can’t have sex because it’s not safe. We can’t do drugs because it’s not safe. Fuck safe. Buy condoms. Take ecstasy. It’s safer than you think.

Alan had some friends that took drugs and went on road trips. If you want to check them out look up Neal Cassidy, Bill Burroughs and Jack Kerouac.

They are called The Beat Generation. We at Pax Acidus are part of The e Generation. The New Beats. Techno baby!

In the summer of 1994, I was driving across the land of the free. Having a hard time not breaking all the laws with my friends from Europe and Canada. We stopped at the Grand Canyon, dropped acid, played frisbee, built a fire, danced to techno coming out of a sound system set up in a jeep, took all our clothes off and as Sloth and Shanta read Howl and Paul played guitar I lost my ego.
